The Ride (2018) is an award winning independent film written and directed by Eric J. Addison with an original score by Francis James Ralls.  The score was nominated for Best Film Score (San Diego Film Week 2018).

ABOUT

Francis James Ralls is a music producer and composer.  As an ongoing contributing composer to the Emmy award winning Bleeding Fingers Music he has scored original films for Disney +, Apple TV +, Netflix, and the BBC's "Around The World In 80 Days" (with composers Christian Lundberg and Hans Zimmer). As an 

ongoing contributor to Sony Music  Pub ATV/ExtremeMusic his original music receives ongoing placements on film and tv shows across network and cable television worldwide.

 

His work with Disney Parks and Walt Disney Records includes original music for Disney's "Star Wars Galaxy's Edge," music production and arrangement for Disneyland Hong Kong, Disneyland Tokyo, Disneyland Shanghai, Disney's California Adventure, and music production for Disney Music.  

His score for the award-winning independent short film “The Ride” (2018) was nominated for Best Musical Score (San Diego Film Awards).  His contemporary instrumental work with New Age composer Bill Wren has won an International Songwriting Competition award (2017) and has received 3 Hollywood Music In Media Award nominations (2011, 2017, and 2018), an Independent Music Awards nomination (Best New Age Album 2017), and a finalist spot in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest (2016).

His recent collaboration, "The Arctic Suite" (with composer Jacob Shae and Bleeding Fingers Music for Sony Classical) features violinist Eldbjørg Hemsing and The Arctic Symphony.
